Congressman Cesar V. Sarmiento, acting on appeals from his constituents, has urged the First Catanduanes Electric Cooperative, Inc. and its power suppliers to do everything possible to solve frequent power outages in the province.

I have to admit I was, for the last 3 years, unable to do what I wanted to do: sit down and make CF the site responsive to its mission and vision.

When I left the Philippines in 2007, I was full of hope that I will have more time administering the site. Unfortunately I have mis-judged Uncle Sam's design. When I reached the US found myself with less time than the little time I had when I was back home. Then the whole change of status start and my life became as crazy as can be! I just find myself with less time to no time with CF.

Approximately 90,000 nursing hopefuls took the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nurssing Philippines last July 3-4, 2010 in 13 examination testing areas around the country.

I want to start this with a little bit of history from my recollection of when I was a kid. My deceased mother, retired district superintendent Leonor Sabeniano Lopez-Herrrera, and my maternal Grandmother Rosario Sabeniano- Lopez (affectionately known in our hometown as Manay Charing), told me that the small land outside the church premises belonged to our family. My grandmother never donated the land but she never claimed it either. My grandmother instead asked people to plant flowers and bushes. Since then, townspeople have enjoyed that area as a flower sanctuary.
