Lord Alfred Tennyson once said that, it's better to have love and lost and never to have love at all. These are powerful words to live by. I end my day dedicating another poem to those who date express their love and have yet to fail to truly appreciate the message of Lord Tennyson.
The Unrequited Love
As you alit from the altar's threshold,
You cast off that glance of yours.
Was that a look of pity and denial?
Or was it pain that lingered on.
Your hands held those flowers.
Which I sent with sadness,
From where it came, elated you must be.
Still, you moved on uttering a word.
Love of my life, whence would you come?
In my slumber, you came running,
In my repose, you vanished from thought.
Whence then...would that day be?
The ancient bell rang to herald the news.
The union of two souls the church blessed.
I waited and hoped as time passed by.
Then darkness came and grieved with me.

why the flowers was sent with sadness when bouquet is supposed to be thrown to those happy faces? This must be a wedding unhoped for. but why would they continue the union when there is an imminent darkness and grieving? why would a groom ask for the love of his life when he will utter promises that need not be broken because it is a vow to God? why wouldnt the love of his life come sooner than the bell's ringing.
because malvar you clearly wrote a poem that is true and could be happening at this very moment.
true love comes in an
true love comes in an unexpected place and time....
it is pure and eternal and is seen with white hair and always young in the heart................
ive like there's no tomorrow, love like it is the first time, laugh to ur hearts content......for life is too short!
