I am reminded of another occason when I used Cebu Pacific to fly from Virac to Manila. Upon checking-in I was told that my husband and I would have to occupy seats in different parts of the cabin as there was no availability. I refused to accept this. The girl retired to a back office and re-emerged with the same story. Again I refused to accept this and she withdrew once again. When she came back she was able to find us adjacent seating. This pantomime seemed strange when, on boarding the aircraft we found the plane to be virtually empty with plenty of seats available.
I should add that this was the first time that I have flown anywhere and had to step onto the scales with my baggage. I weighed in at 110lbs, so it is not as if I am a heavy weight.

My experience of Cebu Pacific is that they are more than happy to sell you a ticket but make it practically impossible to obtain a refund should you need to cancel.
I had a return ticket to Hong Kong but could not use the return portion. Their booking office could only give me a number to call. That proved useless as it was perpetually engaged. I never did get my money back. The result is I shall never use Cebu Pacific airlines again.

Dati ang bumabyahe lang sa atin ay ang PAL (Philippine Air Line) at three times a week lang ang byahe. Dahil poker 50 lang at 50 seats lang ang allowed kaya naging daily na ang flights. Kalaunan kulang na dahil madaming pasahero na ang sumasakay lalo na pag peak season kagaya ng mga pistahan. Kaya binalak ng PAL na lakihan ang eroplano at gawing 100 seaters kaya lang nangangailangan ng widening at extension which is hindi nagawa dahil maraming bahayan at kalye ang tatamaan at hindi rin mapaalis ang tao dahil nagrereklamo. Kaya nagdagdag na lang sila ng flights kaya meron ng Cebu Pacific at Zest air. Ang problema ngayon lalong nagmahal ang pamasahe dahil sa competition ng tatlo. OKey naman lahat ng flights na yan nasa iyo kung natatapat ka medyo ng hindi magandang panahon at serbisyo. Ako hindi namimili kung alin ang available sa araw na kailangan ko yun ang sasakyan ko. Bakit kailangan mo pang mamili halos pare-pareho lang yan. Nasa iyo rin kung saan ka talaga kumportable. Sabagay karaniwan sa atin ang pinipili ay yung medyo makakatipid ka.

Pag gusto maraming paraan. Pag ayaw marami dahilan..

Hi Nonoy, sorry sa delayed reply. Kung sa size ninyo 3 haros pare-pareho ta yan seating capacity baga asa 80, iba iba sana yo yari, ikan nin paharangkaw arog nin PALEx, harapad naman yo CebuPac, regular yo ZestAir. Nasakyan ko naman yan 3, twice or trice na, pero kadakor ka panong i-consider bago ka makapili nin arin talaga ang better or worst. For me sana based on my experienced, Zest Air pa man, although buko silang daily flights at kung mii silang promo mataas ang rates nila. Sa baggage mi ka problema, 15kg ang allowed at walang limit sa hand carry, unlike sa iba 10kg at 1 hand carry sana ang pwede. At sa Zest Air kapag out Virac, kapag ikan dwaging hassle madaring i-approach yan mga empleado sa counter, excess nin bagahe pwede ng e-libre, hehehe.... Worst ko talaga ay PALEx, inot na sakay ko on time (boarding) pero 45 minutes sa runway; pangawha, 45 mins delayed boarding - 45 mins sa runway; pangatlo, 2 1/2 hours delayed - 45 mins sa runway. Dito na ako nakipag-away sa counter ta dili ako gusto paluugon sa pre-dept dahil dawha yo hand carry ko, pinakita ko ang hand carry ko na mi pwede i-check-in dahil mga camera and lenses plus laptop yo loog nin bag boda ma excess na ko nin 5 kilos. Makulit sa counter, ang sabi ko kadigi man sanang deperensya yan compare sa piga-danas namong mga pasahero dito dahil sa delay, nag rereklamo ba kami? Kainunga ko na talaga.. Mi nahuray ikan supervisor na nag-abot, ang sabi sir wag na lang kayong maingay sa mga kasamahan nyo, meron pasahero na walang bagahe, yong claim stub na para sa kanya ilagay na lang natin dyan sa isang bag mo at paingatan na lang natin sa stewardess. Yan ang huling sakay ko na dyan kahit mura ang fare... Kamo ano ng mga experience nyo sa mga airlines?

I know that this question is not addressed to me, i but let me give you an unsolicited advice. Never take PAL...i had very bad experience with it. I promise myself not fly with PAL. I would rather brave taking bus and ferry boat than flying with it. This is base on my personal experience. If you want to see video...documented of my experience i can send it to you. Rating PAL with regards to its services 1 to 10....i give it (-) negative ten.

late madalas ang PAL, true to its name Palpak at Always Late, never tried zest air, mejo maganda ang service ng cebu pacific at malamig ang eroplano pag pasok mo pa lang. kaso walang pagkain na sineserve kahit tubig wala. ang PAL meron. may pa konswelong games din ang cebu pacific namimigay ng goodies.On time din madalas ang Cebu pacific kagaya kanina na advance pa ng 10 minutes landing time namin sa naia.

sa pagka gilumduman ko, sadong parsurat yang nag sabi: yang matuninong na pampamng para sana sa mga tahong ikan kusog nin boot na mag lusong sa dagat (magpaguronggudong) sa panahon nin bagyo....

kwidaw din sa promo, u have to know the baggage allowance and read the small font info sa ticket, kasi last May, naka promo ticket ng sister ko and she assumed the same ang baggage allowance...he he he..we ended up paying more than the ticket cost for her excess baggage. kaloka!

Competition should be good but still the service is poor in our airport for it is only in our airport that you will lost your scheduled flight when aircraft has not landed yet. Your seat has been assigned to other people favored by aircraft personnel for they acted as if they owned the airline. You lost your seat even when you're at the airport lobby two hours before your scheduled flight for flimsy reason that you,re late in the check-in. No amount of pleading and debate will move these
agents and protocol of good customer service is non-existent. Our lobby airport is so small and you can't missed their call if only they announced their last call. Our airport gate is so close and just walks away how come they would blame you for no show when the departing flight has not yet arrived? They would not even consider that a sick child is with you and needed medical attention in Manila. Never would i fly Cebu Pacific for the humiliation and frustration i got from them.

Na aban aban man ako sa airline industry bago nadestino sa ibang lugar. Kaya gusto ko man tabing mag share nin pagkasabot ko.

1. You must check in with IN specified time from published expected departure time (ETD). NOT from the time the plane LANDED. Of course you forfeit the airline flight reservation if you did not check on time.

2. If you checked in on time, got an assigned seat number, and found later on board somebody was occupying your assigned seat, by gosh you have all the right evict the fellow from your assigned seat. If this really happened to you, please send me a PM of details of the incident. I will personally hand over your formal complaint to Lance G of 5J.

3. You may hang around in the airport lobby for two hours or even the whole day, it doesnt mean you are checked in already. Check in first, then hang around the airport lobby with all your gusto. Dont go too far away and be attentive, you may miss the boarding announcement.

4. Pleading and debate or even dramatics are not considered in Civil aviation safety rules. These antics make Airline and security personnel more suspicious for safety reason.

5. Our airport is so small, I wonder why there is a need for last call when you can see the people queing to board the plane, and placards announcement are being flashed assisted with bullhorn.

Passengers who dont follow the rules are assured of the same " airport troubles" regardless of what airline they are in.

are good for first timers and binyagan sa pagbiyahe sa eroplano. Pero di pa naman ako ulyanin at bulag at bingi para di ko alam ang dapat gawin sa pagcheck-in sa airline. Ibang-iba lang talaga ang serbisyo ng ating mga agent sa Virac airport kung umasta kanila ang eroplano at talo pa ang FAA. Security kuno. Masarap sanang patulan pero kawawa lang na matanggal sila sa trabaho.
