I must compliment Taypongard on his draughtsmanship. Not only that, but it takes a keen mind to interpret a real life situation into a drawing and give it a political edge. Satire can be very powerful.

I think the printing of T-shirts is a very good idea. I would further suggest that the finished design could be posted to the Forum so that it can be printed (on different colored paper?) by members for distribution to their local shops and businesses for display.

Furthermore we might seek to publish the design as an add in the local newspapers.

Another form of communication could be through Twitter. If members sign up to Twitter and post comments about mining on Catanduanes you will be surprised how far reaching that can be. The more people that do it, the greater the impact. There is stuff on Twitter even now. Go to www.twitter.com and join up. Search "Catanduanes Mining" and see what you find. Post your own comments but be sure to include "Catanduanes" and "Mining" in your text.

We need to send the message that we do not want mining full stop. Therefore I suggest we do not mention Monte Oro by name, so the slogan might read 'CATANDUGANS SAY NO TO MINING'. The slogan can be read in two ways:

1. As an appeal to Catandungans to say "NO". or,
2. A statement that Catandungans are opposed to mining.

Should another mining company pop up and want to mine here, we will not have to print new T-shirts! Our T-shirts will apply to anyone who wants to come and dig a big hole on Catanduanes.

I wonder if we can make this as our official T-Shirt design? I can get that stenciled, printed and sold with "NO to Monte-Oro mining in Catanduanes!"

We can ask several stores as our outlet. Manay Nem can sell it @ Friends Computer Shop in front of CSC.

I would also enjoin everyone with friendster and facebook account to inform all their Catandunganon Contacts about our effort to stop mining in our province. They can slogans of anti-catanduanes mining on their wall in facebook and on their shoutout in friendster.
