TREE

I think that I shall not see
A poem lovely as a tree

A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast

A tree that looks at God all day
And lifts her leafy arms to pray,

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain,
Who intimately lives with rain

Poems are made by fools life me,
But only God can make a tree.

by helen keller dae na mayadong memorize ni sweet bicolana. i think that i shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.siguro paborito mo man to ano ako paborito ko man to.if i was not mistaken helen is blind.

The author of the poem was not Helen Keller but the American Joyce Kilmer. He died in the WW1 trenches in 1918 from a sniper's bullet. He is buried in France.
Helen Keller (author and activist) was deaf and blind - the result of a childhood illness. She died in 1968.
The poem is one of my favorites too. My grandmother taught it to me.
