Pakwan is now commercially produced in the north eastern part of the province. It comes in various shapes, colors and sizes. Mayroon din parang kundol ang hugis which is common in the Arabian Peninsula. There is melon too including the honey dew type which has a smooth texture. Panghari nin para at pampalipot sa mainit na panahon (at uro?).

Available ba talaga ito sa catanduanes? pag uli mi pan o' sa catanduanes last april... ang nahihiling ko lang pirmi sa mercado batag, manggang saraday an mayuyuta na at indian mango....

Available na to pero madali daw maubos yong kulay dilaw dahil mas matamis kahit mas mahal. The planting fields are located in bgry. penafrancia in viga near the river. Nakakaabot ibenta sa neighboring towns of payo, bagamanoc at yong iba sa virac. 2nd cropping na ito as unfortunately the 1st cropping planted in early Feb na tamang tama sana for the holy week ay binaha ng no less than 4 na beses in Feb & early March. There is 3rd cropping which is due for harvest mid August up to early Sept. Just in time for the viga fiesta!

Wow! ang sarap naman ng mga prutas na ito. favorite ko ang melon and honey dew especially kung chilled. and the melon shake with plenty of milk.... hhhmmm.... refreshing...... ang sarappppppp!
