sa tanaw ko ang solution para ma protektahan yan banwa nin bagamanoc na ma maintain yan natural beauty nin baybayon ay ang breakwater dyan sa bukana between bacak pati lati (tanawon nyo sa letrato), masasabi tang dakuro yan gastos pero one time sana, pati mi kita manga-ipo nin bakal o semento dahil puro mga boulder na asa palibot sana nin lugar makukuha, barge, heavy equipment sana yan kaipuhan. posible pang maging tourist spot pati fish sanctuary yang lugar. nakikinita ko na kong mangyari yan baad yan baybayon na yan mapuno na naman nin kababaryan. suggestion ko man sana yan, kamo man?

mga taga cf, nabasa nyo na yo headlines nin Catanduanes Tribune ninto, re-proposed storm surge barrier? baga matutupad yo suggestion ko na breakwater, sana mapadari.... magka-totoo man yan, na-imagine ko na yan tourism sa bagamanoc - pero depende man yan sa LGU's and NGO's kung susuportahan. dapat ang prosposed project na yan ma back-up pan nin tourism council nin Catanduanes. Mabuhay kamong mga taga Catanduanes!

Bagamanoc Mayor Odilon Pascua has ordered the immediate repair of a minor damage to the existing seawall along the town’s shorelines as town officials feared an approaching storm could induce huge waves that could scour a large extent of shoreline areas.
He told the Tribune that while last week’s tidal surge caused a small hole on the seawall, he has nevertheless instructed the engineering office to patch up the hole and strengthen the structure in preparation for possible storm surge to be generated by the expected passing of Tropical Storm "Dolphin" north of Catanduanes anytime this week
The local chief executive bared that the municipality has already given P3,000 financial assistance to each of the 21 families whose houses were totally damaged by the phenomenon while P1,000 each were given to 12 families whose houses were partially damaged. Governor Joseph C. Cua likewise sent rice in five-kilo packs to the victims while the Philippine National Red Cross delivered canned goods.
Barangay Bagatabao, whose shoreline has yet to be protected by a seawall, suffered the worst damage with 14 houses destroyed and another 12 damaged while Antipolo had seven homes totally damaged during the rampage of Pacific waves from Dec. 6 to 8. The affected families chose to temporarily stay in the houses of relatives, with some of them going back to their homes during a lull in the sea’s onslaught.
According to Mayor Pascua, the phenomenon began two weeks ago as the cold front extended its tail to the island province, with the tide reaching the beach-side homes, but it worsened in the evening of Dec. 6, with the waves reaching as high as five meters.
Portions of several coastal barangays in the poblacion were inundated, particularly Bagatabao where the seawall being built stopped 200 meters short of protecting the entire village due to lack of funds.

tayon daw ta dolphin na bukong ulysses yo pinag taram ni Mayor, baad mi sila nasasagap na balita sa local weather bureau - puro int'l news sana. kapag nag-bukas ka baga nin radio buro foreign station yan nasasagap?

pasensya na ceneth ta medyo kurang yo paliwanag ko....(plano pa man sana pano to, he he he) buko man yan na i-deretcho, gigibuhan nin baga sabangan o kaya baga nag-overlap na agihan nin 2 way na para sa ikan mga katig. umagi man yan budget sa politico pero one time sana, bukong arog sa dike na every time na nauyag ihagad nin para sa rehab o repair. hanggang sa ninto mi pa baga natapos yo dike pati mi pa sa kabanga yan nagigibuhan sa buong stretch nin baybayon? maarog ta sana yo breakwater dyan sa virac sa kataning nin seabreeze resto, siguro super gayon nin lugar nato.
