I like the portrayal here of the clean, simple living on Catanduanes. I would suggest however to lose the boy's catapult/slingshot; it sends the wrong signal. Only today I had to stop a boy using his catapult against my dog. Instead he might be holding the kite in his right hand and the rod in his left.

I agree with SB that catapult has a negative connotation. Sure it implies we have birds. But it also tells negatively of what we do to those lovely birds we wated to protect: we catapult them to death.

I myself have been telling off kids in Baras with that "pitik". Why kill the birds with that pitik?

If we love Catanduanes, we should also love all the things in it... including the birds, ergo the "pitik" held by the boy does not seem fit to the message we want people to get.

I hope you don't mind re-drawing with the boy holding the, yes, the dagwanan!
