There may be a very interesting political turn in Catanduanes... Let's look back a little in time.

The past election showed JAS for congress and Cua for governor. On the other side, we saw Wong and Verceles for congress and governor, respectively.

Result: JAS won, Cua did not. Wong lost and Verceles sat as governor. Of course as a matter of course, Cua's camp did not like the result and Wong's speculated on her loosing. JAS and Verceles rejoiced while Wong and Cua mourned.

With current news that JAS and Verceles running as mates, Wong filed her candidacy as Congressman (I don't know of which party) wile Cua filed for governatorial seat as an independent candidate.

The beginning of March showed different camps on a wait and see stance while the people speculate who will run with whom. Street analysts predict, while some hope, for a Wong and Cua tandem.

Words creep that former Senator Tatad is coming back to run for a local position... Well up to now, it is still words... and dying.

Words, too, have that business man Olonan is running as vice governor.

The game is on and I predict it would be a Wong-Cua tandem versus JAS-Verceles. If that happens...

the way i look at it, JAS-Verceles tandem is just to accommodate the request/instructions of GMA about "equity of the incumbent". but at the end of the day, it will be JAS-Cua ang magaibahan man sana.
if its true that Cua is a KAMPI member, then i will not be surprised if the province be declared as free zone. Lakas vs. Kampi? no pwede sir!

Tayon talagang sa ta'naw mo irreconcilable na yan JAS/Verceles?

Kun JAS/Cua, sino daw makakaiba ni Wong?! Buda namamate mo? Silencio yan vice governorship. Ano daw dumaragan ka na sana Hunter2 pagka bisi gobernador.

sa vice governorship, ang dangog ko baging ang malaban ay vincent villaluna-fred aquino-pbm abundo. si henry olonan dae na daa madagos baad sa 2010 pa mag entra.

I'm happy to note the decision of Henry Olonan. Sayang kun sa Vice Sana siya madaragan! We need his expertise as the Governor.

iyo man an ang pagmati ko, we need olonan as governor! his caliber doesn't fit to be a vice governor. i was looking forward for more development in catanduanes kung siya maging gobernador.
well, let's wait for 2010!
