Why Satur and LIZA joined NP?

The following is a joint statement issued in a press conference this morning by senatorial candidates Satur Ocampo and Liza Maza of the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan:

This morning, we would like to announce our decision to join the senatorial ticket of the Nacionalista Party as adopted candidates for the 2010 elections. We likewise announce our support to Senators Manny Villar and Loren Legarda in their respective quests for the presidency and vice presidency.

Our decision is a result of several months of talks between the Makabayan coalition, the NP standard bearer Sen. Villar and his colleagues, as well as Sen. Legarda.

What clinched the alliance was the positive response of Sen. Villar and his party to the people's issues that we presented to all the presidential frontrunners. Of all the serious candidates for president, it was Sen. Villar who engaged us in earnest discussions on a common platform and program. The result is a document titled "Response to the People's Concerns" that will serve as our basis for working with the NP in the 2010 elections and beyond, hopefully under a Villar presidency.

Our main objective is to emancipate the people from widespread poverty and social injustice. Common to our platforms are following major concerns:

he review of the policy on economic liberalization and “globalization” and the pursuit of self reliant and sustainable economic development by adopting pro-Filipino and pro-environment agricultural and industrial programs and policies, including providing support and protection for farmers, manufacturers and workers in the face of the global economic crunch;

the strengthening of agrarian reform through comprehensive and effective land distribution program and providing debt relief or condonation for indebted farmer beneficiaries;

giving justice and compensation to the victims of human rights abuses from the regime of martial law to the present government and the immediate implementation of the recommendations of UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial Killings Philip Alston;

combatting graft and corruption and holding Mrs. Arroyo and other officials accountable for the charges of corruption and plunder, electoral fraud, human rights violations and other crimes; and

review and renegotiation of the RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement and other unequal foreign treaties and agreements and the adoption of a foreign policy that respect national sovereignty and that is mutually beneficial.

While our positions may diverge on other issues, our common positions on a broad range of issues and advocacies are enough basis for us to forge cooperation in the 2010 elections and after.

The adoption by Sen. Villar and Legarda of the two Makabayan senatorial candidates show their positive regard to and openness to work with progressive forces in pursuing meaningful reforms in government and society.

We would like to thank Sen. Villar, Sen. Legarda and the Nacionalista Party for the opportunity to further serve our constituents and the people hopefully in the Senate.

After the Senate hearing last Jan. 25, Satur made this statement in a press conference, "Our call for good governance and transparency would be put in question. It is possible that those in our group we convinced to support him might have doubts,” Our advice, which we coursed through Minority Leader Ronnie Zamora, is to tell him to face the issue in the Senate. Don’t avoid the issue, and don’t explain to the media, but to the Senate,”......
2 days later, Jan. 27, Satur made a 360 degree turn-around, thru BAYAN MUNA's website, saying, “I now understand Sen. Villar’s misgivings about the Senate proceedings. Considering that he’s up against presidential candidates and supporters of other presidential bets, the end-result will be doubtful. Maybe there is wisdom in staying away from such a proceedings. Our alliance with Sen. Villar and Sen. Legarda remains strong. It is based on a platform of change, good governance, foreign policy, human rights and peace. We continue to support them in their bid for the top posts of the land.”

ANO DAW ANG NANGYARI TA BIGLA NAG KAMBIYO? Bilib na kutan-a ako ki satur buda k liza. Kaya ngane pigbale ko sinda buda si Col Querubin sa iboboto ko kutan-a sa Mayo 10 maski dai ko iboto si MONEY V. Maski kang nag OHO sinda na magbuag kaibahan sa linyada c Bong Marcos, pinalampas ko na sana. OK lang sabi ko basta ang importante ma laban sinda sa kurapsiyon na numero unong nagmugtak sa satong banwa sa impyernong namamatian tang mga Pilipino ngonyan.

But their recent statement of support & continued allegiance with Sen. MONEY V, scared the hell out of me. Villar is accused, with overwhelming evidence, of stealing 6.2 BILLION PESOS of our money on the C-5 Scam. And yet, suportado pa man siyempre ninda?

Suggestion sana tabi, dapat siguro hari-on or dai na pag gamiton ni Satur buda LIza Masa, buda ni Money V, ang "combatting graft and corruption and holding Mrs. Arroyo and other officials accountable for the charges of corruption and plunder, electoral fraud, human rights violations and other crimes;" sa saindang plataporma de gobyerno. Tutal ngonyan pa sana baging dai na ninda isi ang meaning kaan.

Ki Satur buda ki Liza, SORRY but you are now OFF my list of senators.

How many times the opposition fought Gloria’s impeachment proceedings in congress? 1, 2, 3 or 4? How many opposition lead my minority leader Chiz? 25,26, or 27? And the admin. 200-? They are outnumbered but yet they fought with principles and responsibility to the people.

Kung iisipin talagang napakalaki ng isyu laban Kay Money Villar. Nagkukunwaring mayaman at makamahirap..Walang duda yumaman sa pagsasamantala sa mahihirap na mamayang Pilipino ginamit ang mga maniobrang dala ng kapangyarihan sa poder. Mula Tongresso at Senatong..biglang lumobo ang kayamanan...samantalang mamayang nagkakadakuba sa sipag at tiyaga ay halos di kayang hulugan ang bahay na inutang sa SSS, GSIS at Pagibig. Anim na bilyong peso ang gustong habulin ng kapwa senador sa isa lamang na proyekto ni Money Villar.?Malaking kayamanan naging utang ng naghihingalong mamayan. Kaya mamayan sana di malansi ng tusong Matsing...sarap isipin tuso man ang matsing napaglalangan din...Mabuhay ka Jose Rizal at Andres Bonifacio...

Capitalist + Communist: A team Of Rivals?

Wala sa hinagap ko na magkakatugma ang mga plataporma ng isang Capitalista at mga komunista. Hindi kaya naggagamitan lang sila para makuha ang kanikanilang ambisyon? Bayan o Ambisyon????

Campaign contribution ni villar para sa Makabayan ni Satur and Masa.
At
Boto ng Makabayan ni Satur and Masa para kay villar.

Hindi ko na sasabihin at isasali sa usapan ang anak ni marcos na si bongbong.

Pero maganda rin ang nangyayari sa ating polítika ngayon. Na pwede pa lang maghalo ang langis at tubig. Pwede palang sumakay sa isang barko ang mga salungat ang mga pamamaraan sa pagpapatakbo.

Sana nga hindi sila naggagamitan!
Sana nga sila talaga ay para sa bayan!

Because Satur & Liza wants to maximize the volume of people members in thier party specially in demonstration.

By the way what was Ka Satur & Liza Maza was done in our country aside from protesting & fighting the rights of different people ? I don't think PROTESTING IS THIER TRADE MARK EVER SINCE.

I am not Pro-GMA but the fact is our country need the persons or candidates we called an output oriented...

a demonstration is a recation of people .organized or otherwise mostly to government policies deemed to be anti people. your first statement can only be viewed as negative by people like macapagal arroyo and her cohorts. for the organized masses if the candidacies of Satur Ocampo and Liza MAza can bolster the peoples movement then let it be. an empowered nation is the firts thing that we must aspire of having right?

And may i ask, have you been to the moon to not notice Ocampo and Maza's accomplishments?
pero mismong ika na ang nag sabi that THEY PROTESTED AND FOUGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE. di pa ba sayo sapat yun? well you can also check for republic act 9262( anti violence against women and childrens act, or the law that strengthens the Public Attorneys office, or the law that prohibits torture, they were the only block in congress to push for the 9000 sallary increase for teachers and sallary grade 15 starting pay for nurse 1. etc etc.

OUTPUT oriented? whatecver that means.. SATUR AND LIZA are still the best people for the JOB!

Demonstration means - a public exhibition of the attitude of a group of persons toward a controversial issue, or other matter, made by picketing, parading, etc.

Pade relax ka lang hahaha!!!! bakit ba ganyan kayo sa tuwing may nagpopost or di kaya sa tuwing may nag cocoment bakit laging may nagagalit. hahahah!!! tama ka naman lahat ng sinabi mo pero ang tanong ko bukod pa sa pagiging demonstrador ano pa ba ang ginagawa nila? Kaya nga sila Popularly known as PROTESTERS ok lang mag protesta karapatan natin yun eh.

Austronomer lang ang nakakarating sa buwan hahahah !!!ewan ko kung pati aswang pumupunta ng buwan...ang alam ko hanggang tingala lang sila sa buwan hahaha!!!.

Lagi na lang protesta ang ginagawa nila pampasikip sa kalsada ilang beses na ako na late sa trabaho sa kakaprotesta nila hahahah!!!! tumaas lang ng 25 cetavos ang bilihin magpoprotesta.
Baka naman pinaglihi sa protesta yan?

Proud ka talaga sa kanila ok ! whatever...

D naman galit yun sagot saiyo ni Pading Pedio, ikaw lang naman ang OA. Analisahin mo kasi ang argumento ng katunggali mo. Palawakin at buksan mo ang pananaw sa isyung inyong pinag-uusapan.
Ipagpaumanhin mo ricky.adiamond, kung titimbangin natin kung kaninong argumento ang mas mabigat at may may-laman, sa tingin ko ang mga paliwanag ni Pedio ang mas dapat pagtuunan ng pansin sapagkat merong direksyon at merong pruweba ang kanyang inihayag. Kadalasan kasi, karamihan sa atin ay mahilig "pumapel" sa mga isyu, ngunit sa katotohanan ay hindi naman nila gagap ang usapin. Mahilig lang magpuna, ngunit mababaw naman ang lohika. KSP ang tawag sa tipo ng ganitong mga tao.
Tignan mo ang track records ni Ka Satur at Ka Liza bilang mambabatas. Ang pagiging Militante at Progresibo ay hindi kasalanan, mahalagang sangkap nga ito na kailangang lalo pang pag ibayuhan ng mga indibidwal na nagnanais na magsilbi ng lubos sa bayan. Kulob ang utak at kapos sa lohika ang mga indibidwal na kumukutya sa mga taong lumalaban sa bulok na sistema.
25 centavo lang??? Maswerte ka dahil MAYAMAN ka siguro. Ngunit sa malawak na bilang ng masang inaapi, ang bawat sentimo ay katumbas ng buhay at ang puhunan ay dugo. Paano ako maniniwala na MAKATAO at MAKABAYAN ka rin kung hindi mo nga alam ang hinaing at daing ng iyong kapwa?
Si Ka Satur at Ka Liza ay hindi katulad ng mga kandidatong sinu-suportahan mo. Sila ay naiiba sapagkat ang pundasyon nila'y naka-ugat sa prinsipyong hinubog na ng panahon. Prinsipyong nakatuon para sa kagalingan ng sambayanan at ng masa.

Sabihin natin na tama nga kayo dahil sila ay makamasa o makabayan, Ang malate ka sa trabaho ng 1, 2 o higit pa beses sa dahilang walang katapusang protesta at walang katapusang pakalat kalat sa kalye ay makakabuti ba sa kalagayan mo? mga mahihirap na nagkukumahog magtrabaho para lang mabuhay, ang kalahating araw na hindi ka makapasok sa trabaho ay para mo na ring tinanggalan ng karapatang mabuhay ang pamilyang mahirap.

Ngayun kung sakaling mangyari sayo yun pwede ka pang tanggalin sa trabaho dahil sa hindi ka Nakapasok ano ang susunod na ikabubuhay ng pamilyang katulad ko, nila o tayo? na wala naman ibang inaasahan kundi ang sariling sakripisyo. Kaya ba ni ka Satur magwelda sa employer na na perwisyo? Asan ang pagiging makamasa nila? Sa tingin mo eksemted kaya ang rason mo na hindi ka nakapasok dahil sa welga?

Nakakabuti ba sa lahat ang ginagawang pagdedemonstrate ? paminsan minsan bakit hindi dalhin sa Korte ang kaso at wag sa kalsada...Hindi lahat ng bagay at paraan ay nakukuha sa kalsada.

Hindi ka perpektong tao para sabihin yan. Kala ko ba malawak ang kaalaman mo sa argumento bakit hindi mo rin naisip na may ibang mga tao na napeperwesyo dahil sa pagwewelga. Mukhang ikaw ang KSP.
