WHY

Please answer these questions truthfully:

Why do we feast on bad news rather than good news?
Why are we happy when we hurt people and spread rumors and gossips, rather than telling others how good they are?
Why do we seem to enjoy throwing hurtful words and pulling down each other, rather than to build up and encourage each other?
Why do we seem to find the best words to describe the worst of one another, than emphasize their good qualities?
Why are we fond of breaking each other rather than building relationships?
Why do we seem to sneer and to stab each others backs, rather than affirm each other?
Why do we have to throw and badmouthed each other, not telling good things that will help them;

Is it hard for all of us to really understand and to be kind to one another?
Is it hard for us to see other people prosper, while we are left behind at the tail?
In pulling down someone and destroying their reputation makes us happy?
Are we too proud to think that we are better off than others?

This is sad and a pity indeed. For we all are just doing more harm to ourselves. Envy and pride is one of the deadliest capital sins. We kill someone not merely physically, but we kill him with our looks and words. We murder him with our bad speech about them, and we put more garbage in our hearts, because anger is put into it. Then, we complain of sickness we dont even know we have, because we harbor such ill feelings towards other people. As the Bible says, what you sow is what you reap. And the more anger and the more you try to hold on to it, the harder your heart becomes.
Even if you are in a far place, you will find no peace because you still have that emotion within you. Is it so hard for people to live peacefully? Or to sleep at night soundly because you know deep within you, you have tried to be at peace with everyone.

All have sinned of this, no exceptions. But right now, it seems that there will be a number of us who will deny this. But I just want to say this: Jesus has been scorned, mobbed, beaten, spit upon, lashed, bruised, slapped on the face, but He never said a word. We are not a God, but at least, we can change our ways...for the better.

Why?

This only Have I found:
God made human beings upright,
but people have gone in search of many schemes.

for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you will understand what is right and just and pair -- every good path.

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you,

Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,

who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways,
who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,

whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.

--- If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one parts honoured, every part rejoices with it---

Because....

Here are my truthful Answers:

1. Why do we feast on bad news rather than good news?

Ans: Whether a news is good or bad depends on which perspective you are looking into. News about corruption, about the lies and deceits... these may be bad news against the perpetrators but good to the public, because they are eye openers.

2. Why are we happy when we hurt people and spread rumors and gossips, rather than telling others how good they are?

Ans: It is called getting real. I believe it is a deception to patronize someone all the time knowing that he too is imperfect. As a real person, to show that you care, you have to point out other persons' errors and mistakes, so that he could change.

3. Why do we seem to enjoy throwing hurtful words and pulling down each other, rather than to build up and encourage each other?

Ans. It not enjoyment at all. It is called persistence. If you see somebody doing wrong, and after bringing the said wrong to the person's attention he ignores your counsel, your civic duty is to continue your pursuit of counseling him. Do not just stop. Otherwise if you do nothing and just let him do what he wants, you become what he is.

4. Why do we seem to find the best words to describe the worst of one another, than emphasize their good qualities?

Ans. Because the presumption is every person is good. Now if somebody is doing something bad, it is axiomatic that you point it out. Silence is never an option, neither a serenade of the goodness within him. How do you impede the worst disaster but by the best preparation.

5. Why are we fond of breaking each other rather than building relationships?

Ans: Because relationships that are untested by squabbles are not real. Relationships are invented precisely for two or more distinct individual human beings. As such, it is expected that friction is always present. Otherwise, the world would be a monotony of robotics.

6. Why do we seem to sneer and to stab each others backs, rather than affirm each other?

Ans: Because competition is human nature. I believe that competition is a better option that patronage.

7. Why do we have to throw and badmouthed each other, not telling good things that will help them;

Ans: Because they already know, and in fact they know, the good things that will help them. Likewise they know that the bad things they are doing will not help them. They need a "push", however primitive it may be, to get them back in track. The pessimists call it badmouthing, I call it, unsolicited advice.

8. Is it hard for all of us to really understand and to be kind to one another?

Ans: for all of us yes. For some or majority may be no. Come on, everyone has a distinct level of understanding about things. Some are sillier than the other.

9. Is it hard for us to see other people prosper, while we are left behind at the tail?

Ans: It is not, I assure you. However just be sure that you prosper fairly and squarely, without trampling on other people's rights.

10. In pulling down someone and destroying their reputation makes us happy?

Ans: yes, if the reputation is phony, built on deceit and lies. It is called the triumph of the truth.

11. Are we too proud to think that we are better off than others?

Ans: yes and that is called positive thinking.

12. Is it so hard for people to live peacefully?

Ans: In this world and in this lifetime? Yes

"But I just want to say this: Jesus has been scorned, mobbed, beaten, spit upon, lashed, bruised, slapped on the face, but He never said a word..."

Yet he will return with sword and fire and will virtually obliterate all those who did or doing all these against him. Is this called vengeance?

And vengeance is good news or bad news?

Why? wait a minute...

Dave's picture

Wait a minute! Don't forget for a second that Christ tongue-lashed the evil of his day! Don't we forget for a second how Christ lost his temper on the peddlers in the Temple!

While we build relationships, we should destroy the evil that obstruct building more good relationships. More than that Christ taught us to be good and despise evil. If we read more bad news than good it tells us how many bad things there are than good!

I agree... we should be reading more good than bad, reason why we write, post and publish the bad... to learn from them and fight and avoid them!

living life...

yaaa, Christ was angry, but when He was about to be crucified, He is like a lamb to be slaughtered...no words came out of His mouth, until the last seven words on the cross!
Just after the Holy week is over, we forget what that week means, going back to the same cycle of life we have. Maybe, really the end is near, when Satan's forces are now on its peak, and everywhere you see is chaos and troubled times.
When every heart will be cold, and in a family, two will be against one, father against his son, mother against daughters. Wars are present, calamities are everywhere, earthquakes, floods and everything.
Just one reminder: Live your life as if it is your last. You will never know if you will still wake up tomorrow. We are here and gone tomorrow, a vapor in the wind...(that is coming from a song...) Give someone each day a smile, forgive an enemy, thank God for everything and ask for forgiveness for your sins. Life is short, and we only have one life to live. Why waste it on bad issues and reports, when there are so many good things around us? Look around you!!! You will find them!
