Tropical Depression JOLINA

Synopsis: At 2:00 AM today , the center of Tropical Depression "JOLINA" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 650 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes (14.9°N 131.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph.

Forecast: Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience occasional rains becoming frequent over the Western sections which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest and South with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
