“OLD LOVE”
By: JayTee
Should I forget the old love I once cherished?
Or let it bloom with an affection unblemished?
Only with the old love I find my completeness;
With my past I demystified life & its sweetness.
How could I live if my life belongs to yesterday?
If times of yore keeps lingering on my memory;
How could I alienate love when it is part of me?
Parting ways with her is taking my heart away.
Her name is engraved on the fabric of my heart;
Her saccharine smiles have brighten-up my life;
With her mystique eyes, I am almost in paradise;
I loved her more than eternity & not for awhile.
So many times I tried to consign her into oblivion;
Memories keep gushing into my veins like poison;
If loving her is a sin, then let her be my addiction;
Without her, I’d rather die with this pure emotion.
I died once when she left without saying goodbye;
Longing for the magic that radiates from her eyes;
In solitude her memories bring sparkles in the sky;
Reminiscing yesteryears with regret & painful sigh.
Mesmerized by her I kept walking on the past lanes;
Fixing the realm where my dreams concealed in vain;
How could I ardently utter the words if heart is in pain?
Or am I on a fancy trance akin to man devoid of sane?
On this wrinkled world my passion has remained fresh;
Sprouting with unfathomable love full of ardor & zest;
Old love is not forgotten for in life she’s the sweetest;
I promise to love her sincerely till the day I lay to rest.
