Airline Customer Claims Humiliated

Complainant Maria Luisa Teves reports humiliating statements received by Asian American relative from officers of an airline company at VRC airport.
According to Teves, her cousin Manolo Reyes Jr. and wife Princess Aquino hurried early friday morning last week to VRC airport to catch a connecting flight in Manila going to Australia in the afternoon. At the departure area, after the baggage check she said, the officers would not allow them in.
Nothing else hampers except an unwrapped “sungkaan” which they bought as souvenir from the Island. Officers claim to follow airline policies and restrictions. But customers said they were humiliated among all other passengers after some inquiries and the Asian American, not being able to understand the officers’ language.
“We were passed over an officer to another, until nobody entertains our queries”. Having felt cast off, the disappointed foreigner said “Hindi na ‘ko babalik dito sa Virac.” “Eh di maam, wag ka ng bumalik dito ng Virac!” were the airline’s frontline officer’s reply crushing the customer in shame, as she was laughed at in the entire crowd of departing passengers. Priscilla Milagrosa, the offender though, defends she didn’t say that.
Days later, Teves keep coming back to complain, but the Manager, Mrs. Samson would not appear, as staff said she’s on official business. Cebu Pacific Air OIC explains they couldn’t terminate Milagrosa unless accusations are proven true but Teves doubts the case is doing progress.
The foreigner, having been a former stewardess in an International Airline assessed the airport employing arrogant security guards and the airline having poor customer service. To date, no action has been taken yet.
