Hon. Ambassador Antonio Villamor
Philippine Embassy, Riyadh
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Dear Hon. Ambassador Villamor:

Warm Greetings!

In the aim to work hand in hand with our Philippine Embassy to better serve our Filipino Migrant Workers in Saudi Arabia who are expecting protection, services and assistance, we sent a letter to your office dated 10th January 2010 which intention is to seek an audience and have formal dialogues with you together with your Key staff either periodically or on a case-to-case basis.

We believe that with this approach, it would open an avenue leading towards a better understanding in resolving this serious concern of our less fortunate “Bagong Bayani” OFWs in Saudi Arabia and to help ease/lessen the burdens and anxieties that their respective families are facing back home.

Apparently, it is sad to note that because of a snail’s pace action bulk of various cases involving our fellow Filipino Migrant Workers requiring immediate action by your office still pending to date despite of our constant follow-ups. However, we are optimistic that thru your office our Philippine Embassy remains sincere and steadfast in extending the necessary assistance expected of them by our fellow Filipino migrant workers in distress.

I am attaching herewith the said letter we sent to you last week for your ready reference.

Anticipating that this request will be given your preferential attention and prompt action.

Thank you and More Power!

Sincerely yours,

For the Filipino Migrant Workers and their Families,

JOHN TORRES
Spokesperson
Migrante International
