Here's one thing that I learned. If you have many, don't give away evrything and forget to save something for yourself, because there will come a time, that when you have lost your everything, nobody will help you out except yourself.

Charity begins at home

Help your family first before extending help outside of your home that was the lesson i learned from one of my uncles. My father and uncle would like to help each other but with meager resources how can they spare some help to each other when both have families. Life is a never ending struggle and everyone needs support but they taught me not to be a burden. They would tell me and i quote "para yan dalawang magkapatid na inaanod ng bahang ilog hayaan mong makaabot muna sa pampang ang mas malakas para hindi sila kapwa malunod dahilan sa kapag iyong malakas ay nasa lupa na marami nasiyang magagawa para iligtas ang kanyang kapatid". Kamo kung nakaantos na sa ya tukad ninyo hayahay na baga at kung sobra na ang pera nyo sa pamilya puede na kayong tumulong kung gusgustuhin lalo na alam ninyo na hindi na ninyo ito ikalulubog.

Kailangan talaga ang magtira kahit iisa. Pano ka ulit makakatulong kung wala ka ng ititira para sa iyong sarili. Sabi nga ubos-ubos biyaya maya-maya nakatunganga.
