DISABLED ACCESS

Its clear that there is a requirement to provide disabled access to buildings, by the provision of ramps. You see them around Virac. But as an able-bodied person I find it difficult enough to navigate the streets; I am certain that disabled people are not helped one bit by the ramps. Their existence is simply paying lip-service to the regulations.
Pavements if there are any, are narrow, uneven and blocked by parked motorcycles or by shops spilling their goods onto them. Pedestrians are forced into the road.
I should like to see more pavements, kept in good repair and clear for the unobstructed use of pedestrians and wheelchairs.
