We, in the island of Catanduanes are very much aware of the rampant vote buying in every single portion of every barangay whether it is located in rural areas or even in those places where authorities imparts with this anomalous Constitutional sabotage wherein the rights and freedom of every citizen are being manipulated and suppressed by monetary power and erroneous influence coming from violative politicians that has a prior ideal of not having us( people) a space for upliftment and progression but making us a captives of what we called " Catanduanes Rotten System of Election".. What went wrong? is it really them?(the Politicians) or us ( the people). Think of it?? as our constitutions direct us,, all governement authorities emanates from the people which it serves,, Government should look upon into the general welfare of every citizen.We have surrendered our rights to the government but in return the government should protect, secure, and maintain the common good and safety of the original owner of the rights and priveledges that they enjoyed and was vested on them. The rule is, in surrendering our rights as the basis of the principle of social contract, the people can demand to the government what is reserve for them, on the other hand the government can also demand obligations and as well as cooperation for the latter to obtain its paramount duty to its people " Solus Populi Est Suprema Lex" . Therefore, seeing my fellow catanduanganon's being eaten by the system reflects the status of our country as a whole, we are blinded by those brilliant orators and wealthy greedy man in the government who seeks for immortal influence and power. We are exposed in the reality of "just go with the flow mentality" .During Election, voters asked for their monetary part from every ward leaders or barangay leaders that a certain politician designates for the disbursement of election funds that was intended to secure the votes, so if the politician has insufficient funds/machinery, even his qualifications is overflowing he will still suffer the consequence of defeat as a product of not having enough money to supplement his candidacy. In result,we are likewise suffering the consequences after they have gotten the seat of power. and after several months we are blaming them because of corruption and other related wrong doings.. but should we ask ourselves?? why?how? we made our own problems and whatever we have right now as a nation is an outcome of what we are as individuals and as citizens. so think about it,, Getting the money for personal gains and able to use it in a shorter term or stick to your greedless principle that we should and must avoid patronizing the evil of Vote Buying because if we start it erroneously, the end point will be also an error worse a political malady... Vote wise, not Wisely,choose your preferred candidate not your desired one.. And Do not be influence by vicious temptations .. Be vigilant and aware.. Get rid of the system,, get rid of ourselves, and get rid of Vote Buying....!!!!
