I cannot blame you, stealing a shot from these blossoms. This lovely poem, I dedicate to them.

To a Wild Flower

The barren soil from where you sprung,
Look up to heaven and pleads for rain.
The sere grass...does it yearn for mist?
So are those earthly beings, their hymns in vain.

From what genre of blossoms do you belong?
Is it a vanishing breed? Please tell me not!
You seek not the gentle and soothing breeze;
Nor yearn for a sweet lullaby.

You thrive fearlessly and withstand the tempest.
Swaying and dodging along, you let go.
In wild abandon, you cling to thy withered roots;
And nestle deep into earth's bosom.

Curse you will not the travails of the day.
Yet, laments the coming of the dark.
These mortals who come to pluck your bud?
Sauntering the essence, they desire for more.

Beholding thy fragility, they embellish and flatter you,
To Helen atop those pedestals adorned,
These mortals, they shower you with names,
Never knowing where you came, they just behold.

A wildflower borne by rugged terrain...,
Devoid of mist, of rain, and of air, it offers essence.
Yearns a tired meandering soul;
Do not vanish. Thrive you must.
